An American guitarist and historian, known for his three major texts on flamenco: The Art of Flamenco, Lives and Legends of Flamenco: A Biographical History, and A Way of Life. He received the “flamencologist” title thanks to his extended knowledge and true passion for flamenco.

I love the books, particularly “A way of life”. It takes you on a journey, back to the ’60-70s of Andalusia, sharing the every day of life of Donn and his wife as they try to show the old, traditional flamenco to the aficionados and at the same time give you a brilliant insight to local life.
