The feria is a phenomenon you cannot imagine, you have to see it with your own eyes.
From April till June, across Andalusia they organise “ferias”. Originally the feria was a gathering around a horse market, but with time it evolved into an event of dancing, eating and drinking with friends and family in tents called “casetas”. That’s my interpretation at least …
The typical dance of the feria is the “sevillanas”.
The name comes from Seville, where the most famous feria is held: La Feria de Abril.
